    Get 3ds Max for $3500 unless you can get an educational version for $400. If you cant get Softimage | XSI Mod Tool for free. (Just google it)

    Milkshape or Softimage from FPSBanana? They will do the job?

    Programs for modelling

    1. 3ds Max (expensive)
    2. Blender (free)
    3. XSI mod tool (free also)
    4. Milkshape (really cheap)

    that's all that i know of...

    All of them should work for CS:S. if you need tutorials for them, there aren't many on this site so you could go check some other websites.

    Milkshape will work for CS but im not sure about Source. Specially because Milkshape is very low poly. Blender is compat with none (that i know of) and isnt great for weapon modeling and crap. XSI is perfect because it has all the right tools and everything and it is absolutely perfect for CSS and relativly easy to learn (free). 3DS Max is the most powerful of them all but is $3500. Maya is awsome to but thats $7000.

    I have Uhm Maya, 3d Studio.. but they're older versions and i don't know how to use them...

    So Um I'll try Softimage thanks guys!!
