Hammer Editor - Graph Missing

Yesterday i got source sdk, and thought of learning how to create maps, but after a few tries the graph on the x/y and the other two planes simply disappeared, i can also draw some blocks but they also tend to be invisible, although i can still edit them. I followed all the steps from the website of source sdk, i don't think there's a problem with the options, i have set them exactly as instructed. Any help would be appreciated.

    try "CRTL+A" that resets the grid or something like that, but anyways give it a go if your still stuck I would just say fuck it and re-download. Something could have gone wrong in the install or download.

    Try SHIFT+R. From the image it shows you have the Grid toggled, but perhaps you need to deselect and re-select it. SHIFT+R is the hotkey for that.

    Ah I see now. Normally that would toggle the mesh as well, but I didn't notice you had the base grid lines and were just missing the mesh. Hmm, strange.

    When you launch Hammer from Source SDK you have the Engine Version set as "Source Engine MP" correct?

    Never mind. fixed it. the directory in the game configuration was wrong. Thanks for your time anyways.
