Pedobear Skin problem

Skin oversized, consistency error

By klinkxxx 1 year ago

Hi everyone,

First of all, excuse me for my bad english :)

Then, i have a CSS skin problem and i didn't find the solution.

I want to change the gsg9 skin to a pedobear skin (don't ask why ;) I've only found an admin skin of pedobear. I copy it instead of the gsg9 skin, modifying vmt file... I think i'm good at this point.

The problem is, when i launch a map, i have a consistency error. The skin exceeds min and max dimension. Yeah, Pedobear is not thinner as a human.

So i put sv_consistency to 0, but i always have the same problem.

I play CSS on LAN only with friends, and i will give my skin pack to everyones so consistency check is not a problem, if needed, i can pass it (how can i do that?),

Do someone have an idea to solve my problem?

Thanks for your help.

Passing the consistency check is something that's in the model itself, you'd have to decompile the model, modify the model or the QC, and recompile it.

    Thanks for the reply.

Do you mean that somethings wrong in the model, like size parameters don't correspond to real model size? Or you want me to resize the model to correspond to standard CT model? If i do that, proportions of my pedobear will be incorrect.

    What is QC?

    Thx for your help

That is a very real possibility, but the very reason the consistency check exists is to prevent models to be too big, thus making finding enemies too easy.

QC, the VMT of the model.

I tried to decompil the model, but i'm afraid i'm too noob to do that.

The model works as an admin skin, but not as a standard player skin. Is this because admin plugin (such as mani admin) doesn't do the consistency check?

Is it possible to completly disable the consistency check on my personnal server?

If someone want that skin, i upload it here: http://dl[dot]pixels-software[dot]com/pedobear[dot]rar

For recall, i didn''t make that skin, i found it on a creepy russian website

If you own the server, you could turn of consistency with 'sv_consistency 0', but this is a cheat, so you're going to have to trust whoever gets on the server.
