when i play zombiemod server why my ping its very big ?>(276)

please help me to fix it

    there could be many causes for a high ping in ZM servers; a slow connection to the server being the most obvious ( either due to the server being to far away or having a slow internet connection), but sometimes to-high settings can affect your ping as well. do you only have a high ping in zm servers? all zm servers? normal/low in all other servers? a little more info, plus your computers specs & settings, would be helpful.

    as to the second question, yes, but you have to set up, mod, and start the server with the 'Source Dedicated Server' tool (free, under the tools section in steam). this allows you to run a server on your computer, which you could in theory connect to in offline mode. not sure if SDS will run in offline mode, but there it is lol

    Maybe your computer just sucks.

    cl_cmdrate +100 is just putting fake ping on the scoreboard... they can actually see your actual ping by entering "ping" in the console.

    I want realism in the game!
