Beta CSS Skin Installation

How to set up skins, if possible, in CSS Beta

I am not sure if CSS beta is disabling custom content but when I downloaded

M4 skin and placed it in the cs-beta folder, I still have the default M4. I'm not sure if its that particular skin or if the beta has special rules regarding custom content. I tried turning off consistency to see if that changes anything because I had one model before that violated consistency.

I know TF2, on the new source engine, had an option to disable custom content is there a similar one for CSS now?

    Isn't CSS beta on the orangebox engine? If so, the css content here are compiled for the old source engine so it shouldn't work in new beta.

    I remember using HL2 weapons on EP2, or is the difference greater now?

    If all the old content is incompatible, that really sucks.

    The beta just isn't loading custom content outside gcf's, probably ment to be like that.

    Old skins wont be incompatible, it still uses the old vmodel/wmodel system rather than the c_model system in TF2, the skins just won't take full advantage of the new shaders in the Source Engine 15.

    Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. Well, then it should work when the Beta becomes public:)

    Well, for DoDs, skins still worked, so it will probably too for CSS. It's probably just because it's in beta. The actual release (if they release it, there's much opposition from the competitive scene) will probably support it.
