Lighting Problems Answer 200 points.

By Intelevend 4 years ago

So I put in my cubemaps, compiled and built the cubemaps in game. Problem was one of the resolution for one of the cubemaps was too big so it just screwed up the map, I fixed that and recompiled and rebuilt cubemaps, but it left this weird problem with the lights.

Now before i built the cubemaps the lighting was working perfectly, now i get this weird orb on the lights.

Lights are set up as follows X = point spot ^ = light_spot

= Light

No idea, but try remaking one of the lights and see if it fixes it, that usually works.

Post the compile log too, there might be an error in there.

The things that could have been messed up is that you could have used a npcspotlight, a sprite or lightglow. The lightspot and normal light dont give anything visual in the air which means you have another entity giving that effect. about the light_dynamic i dont know but when its a light that doesnt move it shouldnt be used anyway

Look and see if you have a env_sprite below the light
