For first skin - good. This better than many other "first skins" from this site.

Thank you, man! That comment just made my day :D

Honestly, for a first skin it doesn't suck. It's much better than some other first skins out there.

    Its my favorite colors...

They might be your favorite colors, but just slapping them on to the default textures doesn't do anything except make them look worse than they were before. If anything, it looks more like you gave the weapons a partially rusted look after spray-painting them black. First skins or not, you should've kept this to yourself and kept working on improving your skills before submitting something like this. And telling people not to be rough doesn't do a thing to help you in the slightest, nor does people giving a 10/10 rating for something as poorly done as this. You need to hit the tutorials section and keep practicing for a while before you do another simple texture submission like this. There is a lot that you can learn and easily apply when making skins, which will result in things that are better than just simple recolors if you actually take the time to practice. Believe it or not, but there is a rather high expectation for the quality of skins by most of the users here at GameBanana, and simple recolors like this are usually flamed because of how simple they are. Because of this, some people have either tried to improve and have done so, ignored what others have told them and continuously kept submitting rather poor submissions while leaving any legitimate feedback in disregard, or have completely left the site altogether. If you want to avoid people flaming at you because of your submissions, take in what the more experienced members of this site say and try to avoid the more simplistic and useless comments that do nothing for you. It's called "criticism", not "give them a cookie and imagine there's nothing wrong".

Here's a few notes that you should consider for future reference:
    1. Make WiP (Work in Progress) submissions before you actually submit your skins, you might be able to get some help from some of the more experienced members on this site with what you are trying to do.

    2. Avoid doing things based on your personal preferences alone (such as using your favorite colors as a color scheme for a recolored default weapon). You need to consider what others will think of your submission when you upload it, as well as understanding what the expected standards are for skins around here. Take a look at some of the weapon skins around here (with a minimum rating of at least 9/10) that aren't simple recolors or retextures of the default weapons. You can get a pretty good idea of what most people will be expecting to find for weapon skins.

    3. Quality over quantity. Don't try to do multiple things at once unless you know you have enough experience to do so. And even when you do have the experience, you will want to consider sticking to just one project alone. For example, let's say that you've have plans to create a skin for the AWP, M4A1, and SG552 slots. Would you rather A) put the time and effort into them one at a time and get feedback on them through WiP submissions until you get it nailed down as best as you can before submitting them separately or B) work on as many things as you possibly can all at the same time, resulting in poor quality skins, and upload them all at once just to get negative feedback? Believe it or not, but weapon skins aren't all that easy. It doesn't matter if you are a compiler, a texture artist, a sound artist, or an animator - it takes time and effort to perfect what you are doing. The more time and effort that you put into something, the better it will usually come out to be.

    4. Criticism is your friend. Don't tell people not to be harsh. Having people candy-coat their opinions so that you don't get offended usually leads to people either giving you piss poor comments that don't help you improve at all. For example, Wusheng's post says to ignore people that look down on this skin and to hit Millenia's tutorials, as well as giving you a perfect 10 for the rating. Now how exactly does this help you improve? In all honesty, it doesn't. Sure, Millenia's tutorials are good, but this is definitely not worth a 10/10. Ratings like that have no actual benefit for you, and instead might cause you to have an over-inflated ego that ends up forcing you to continuously make poorly done submissions without taking into consideration what others might think. I'm not saying you have an over-inflated ego now, nor am I saying you should stop doing skins. But you need to actually take the criticism people give you into mind before ratings like that go to your head. How you take the criticism is up to you, but if you are getting legitimate feedback that is negative (I.E., someone points out a bunch of cons in your submission with little to no pros and a bunch of improvements), then you should consider listening to what they say and try to follow along with their suggested improvements. If you are getting people that candy-coat their criticism or are just flat out rude (I.E., someone says "This skin needs to be improved, but good job 10/10!" or "This fucking sucks go die in a hole you bastard! 1/10"), then you have no reason to actually listen to them. They aren't doing anything to help you improve, so why take in their poorly-constructed criticism if it's of no use to you? You should improve your skills, and that's what legitimate feedback is for. Sometimes it might come out a bit harsh from some of the more experienced members, but candy-coating it will only give newcomers and over-inflated ego.

    5. Learn from the best. You can find a lot of tutorials on this site, but some of them might be outdated or harder to understand. In these cases, you'll want to try and recognize the more experienced members that are active around here and see if they can help you improve your skills as much as possible. Take note, though - they might be busy with other projects, so be patient and give them time to actually help you if they are willing to do so. Nobody likes a pest, so give them time to respond. This could take a few hours, or even a few days. Just give them time to respond, and they will get to you soon enough.

    6. Lurk, lurk, lurk. I understand you're new to skinning, hence why I suggested the tutorials and looking at submissions with high ratings to them. However, during the time that you are practicing the skills you are being taught through tutorials and looking at prime examples of what should be expected by the community, you will want to lurk around on the site and find see if you can find some useful information that could help you. That's what a lot of people usually neglect to do, and it usually leads to them being chewed out by some of the people here. Your best bet is to lurk for a while and keep improving before you actually go through with submitting skins to the site.

Don't listen to the others it's not that bad ,everybody starts low,but the real thing is how high you can get,my advice is to watch some of Milenia's tutorials ,but i'll give you a 10---

You're what's wrong with this community, giving 10s because he needs a boost is not very helpful.

It isn't that bad. Anyone who thinks this skin is inferior because it doesn't have a custom model needs to go soak their head. Believe it or not, some people (not me) don't enjoy shooting up their CS:S with new models, and are content with retextures. I think it's a nice skin, keep up the good work.
