Mod49 on Rev.'s Animations

The M49 submachine gun is a Yugoslavian submachine gun chambered in 7.62x25mm Tokarev, designed for use with the Yugoslav People's Army. While externally similar to the PPSH-41, as well as being able to interchange magazines, the M49 is actually very different in both construction and design. More similar in nature to the Italian Beretta Model 38, the M49 features a one-piece tube receiver which contains the bolt, recoil spring and buffer mechanism.[1] Constructed of machined parts as well as simple tubing, the receiver assembly incorporates a ventilated barrel shroud to protect the operator from being burned during periods of rapid-fire, as well as a simple muzzle break to steady the weapon.     Man that sucks, it looks easy to take the particles off to... Why can't you make one? This gun looks awesome with the hands and the postion its in, please i beg of you!! Make a non particle version!!!

    This is very, very cool. If I liked older guns I would for sure be using this. Great work, and huge props for an original idea :)

    Model:

    The model isn't very good. Basically the stock is a block and round rounded. It also heavily lacks of detail. Here's a good website for references. Add more details, smooth the stock, if you can manage it, add the holes to the heat cover and model an inner barrel. Looks good and if the rest of the model isn't that detailed (like the stock) it's no problem. The sight is a good beginning. I know the model is old. But really? It's plain.

    Textures

    Yeah well, as I said the stock is very blocky so the stock textures look very flat and lame. Also the wood texture doesnt have a good normal map, as I said it looks just flat. As you can see here, the wood is very structured and has several deep scratches. The metal is plain and dull, it lacks of detail. Add more scratches and little details at places where the metal has to "work" like at the bullet ejection port. I can see yout tried to add some detail with the cloth. It looks good for the magazine (which would be just plain and boring without it), but for the stock, well, it looks the unrealistic bcs of the blocky model. What I like is the heat cover of the barrel, the holes looks pretty good with the normal map. All in all it seems that you hold yourself back with the texture, you can really do it better.

    Animations

    The draw is very bumpy and snaps into idle a little bit. Reduce the bump a little bit, the rest is pretty OK. I really like the hands position and the origin of the gun. Shooting looks good, single fire as well firing the whole mag. The reload animations is terrible. The magout doesnt make any sense. What do you do so long? load your power level so you can actually remove the magazine from the gun? And why does the gun move with the mag? If you try to pull something out you never goes with the object you never go with the object you want to pull out - you always counter in the opposite direction. Everything else would be senseless. In conclusion you'd end up moving the gun in the opposite direction of the mag because you hold against it. That's it for the magout. The magin is cool. Looks smooth and fits. The movement of the hand at the end doesnt really look like you really charge the lever. It's also pretty fast and snappy (and very close to the screen). Another idea, change the thumb/hand position. I think you simply move the mag down and up again without changing the hand. Just move the hand a bit down and rotate the thumb so he presses on the back of the mag for example.

    keep up the good work A creative skin, but not worth all the 10/10 that rain here. I think a thumbs up/thumbs down rating system would fit the Banana better these days bcs it happens the same thing that happened to Youtube.

    well first off i wasnt planning on improving the model in any way so i could careless about how the model really looks

    secondly, (dont mean to be rude) bam isnt the best texturer but imo they look awesome enough for me

    third, i hadnt thought about getting this released until recently (last week) but the animations were compiled about a couple weeks ago and we updated the gun recently, so i didnt want to bother bam and have new smd's to compile by updating the animations. then to the animations, i tried shortening the mag out but i wasnt getting good results so i left it as is which then screwed up the timing for rest of reload animations.

    but the rest of your comments are some good points to help build off of in the future.
