Ok so i'm not sure anyone posted this, but that's just a Van Halen image stretched to all hell. http://bumslogic.files.wordpress.com/2012/01/vanhalenlogo-stripes.jpg Tell me i'm wrong.
Recolors/Retextures are considered the easiest part of skinning. I don't think you'll ever start making real skins considering that you probably don't know anything about 3D modelisation/animation.
You're better off not posting anything at all if it's something of this quality.

Well, a recolor or edit (hard to find a proper name) is rather bad. You basically took a random photo from Google and overlayed it on the default texture. It takes maximally 5 minutes (because the saving process will take more time than actually overlaying the photo...).
Try to learn how to make a completely new texture from scratch instead of overlaying a bunch of images. Details will be lost and the whole thing looks really really bad.
Maybe post a WiP in the appropriate section to get more critics to improve your work and enhance it till you have a decent release ready to be published.
Also, add better screenshoots next time. Try to take them under different light conditions and angles. Use visually attractive maps that support your texture.
Try to make use of shaders, too. Check out this tutorial about phong shading.
i know it was completely effortless but it was my first skin and im still learning i made like 3 skins so far and i only made this one because i thought the awp was a little bland and boring and i didnt want to just download a solid gold skin for it so i decided to make this by the way thanks for the tutorial i will read it and try to improve myself

better then your last skin you posted like 2-4 hours ago. you need to put alot more effort in your retextures, at thia state it looks boring and effortless. the texture looks rushed and hasted.
- you got to use static lightning , i recommend Dodge/burn tools to make a decent texture.
- If you want I can improve this textures vmt, making normals, phong.
- add noise and scratches, it look really good after that step.
I got examples for you first theres This one m' boy
