Killo$ity's Physics Chain

A set of chain links, created using physics, and the end peices.

The chain links are named chainlink and chainlink2. The second is the first, but rotated into the next position for linking to the first.

Each link is breakable, with 50 health as default. As they are physics, breaking the links will have effects on the whole chain.

As the links spawn, they can begin to grind and spark, but that may be because on my test map, I spawned them quite a distance from their final position.

The chains are all made from funcphysboxMULTIPLAYER, so when on a server, they will not lag up the server. Because of this, players going too near the chains will move them, and sometimes break some.

The chain has many uses, and I can see some getting more original soon. e.g. -Wrecking ball chain -chain to hold back a door (shoot a link to drop door) -aesthetics in maps, that react to the fighting going on

Please credit me in the release if you use the chains, thank you.

Looks promising. Hope to see some options other than chain. Maybe some other "linking" style? (Ropes?, elastic bands?)

I have had allot of bad experiences with this one, the brushes just don't seem to render properly and the physics on it is all FuBaR. i can run into it, it doesn't move for like 2 seconds then it will move slightly, and boom it starts swinging like 15 seconds after i walked into it. this is reoccurring. I have tried not* stretching it, or manipulating the brushes in any way. i have tried vertex editing only, all of these techniques have done me no good. i have even tried to make my own after studying yours, still same effect. not sure why, if you have had this problem let me know ... other wise if it works for you good on yeah and i am screwed.

Is that actually a prefab or a prop? If it's a prefab, then it might take a little editing for different positions yes?
