Horster Mühle as resource

a very detailed source map as recource if someone can need things out of this map.

This is a non playable rebuild of the Horster Mühle in Essen-Horst, Germany. I build this as part of a contest with a friend (his result: http://www.blendpolis.de/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=34833 ). I upload this as a resource for you to take whatever you need for your own maps. Just mention me in your credits. However this map is very detailed and might help you with one or two things (especially the detailed architecture might help when building an industrial map) Just thought that this was too much work to never show it around…

Please note that there will be a lot of missing textures and models. I recommend using other Textures which are included in the game you are working with for smaller file size or see dev. notes. vmf and bsp for L4d2 included

DevNotes

I will not continue any work on this map. Tutorials used in former times: “thewall.de” (in German, but one of the best sides for help with hammer) I will probably use parts of this map in my current project, (for css, but might change to cs:go if the old compiler is too slow) I made this using the L4D2 version of hammer and used a lot of content from other source games (ep:2, cs:s and two self-made textures) which are not bundled. Just open the .gcfs of these games and copy all meshes and textures to L4D2 to get the same look as on the screens.

I build this map in smaller parts and the copied these parts together for better "sight" in the 2d windows of hammer
