    It seems you haven't actually downloaded the map, i darkened many areas of sand to avoid repeating patterns etc

    I think you have bad comp or then you were using those displacements wrong. Now it looks kinda boxy. ^^

    Yeah Ironick, the skybox wasn't close enough to the ground when I had the displacements.. oh well thanks for letting me know

    This might sound daft but are u also sealing the map under the displacements so u dont get leaks, displacements work much better than brushs

    You know that you only select those faces who will be seen in this case only the top of the brush and make a displacement?then it should not lagg, is the skybox far away from the ground?(under it)

    I had loads of displacements before, but it lagged the map to hell. Besides isn't it obvious I know it because thats how I made the pond.. Yeah the sand used to have black spots all in it, but it lagged it hardout..

    Do you know the Displacement tool? Loos nice but make the sand to a displacement...
