v3 of my obstacle course. Pretty hard.

Pretty difficult obstacle course map. 20 normal levels. 8 bonus levels. Custom textures, sounds, etc.

No luck levels. No memorizable levels. No bhop (On 66 tick, consistency is impossible).

I made it. Could be bugs, dunno. Haven't really tested this version. If you're falling through the platform on level 9, try jumping on the platform until it departs. (Thanks, Source.) Pretty sure it's 40 max players. Could be 64. Could be 100. Dunno.

    Good job! Atlast somebody made an obstacle map where you can't die on one or another level - you just start the level from the beginning. So thanks for that :)

    I now you wanted to make a hard map, but for most of people it will be too hard and they will just write RTV on it. So if are going to fix the bugs that Paul was talking about, can you please make a easier version of this map. I think that a lot of people will thank you for doing that.

    Thanks for the review. (I bunny hop and play trikz)

    First, I'd like to say that I'm aware it won't work on most servers because it's so hard. It's kinda what I was going for. Most obstacle maps these days are way too easy, and I find myself bored after a few levels (which are usually almost copy-pasta'd from other maps). I wanted to make one that would give good players a challenge.

    I know the bug on level 9. Couldn't ever really figure out how to fix it. I tried tanktrains, movelinears, and even doors. Source is just broken :|

    As for level 12, yeah.. it's pretty hard. When/If I update it, I'd add trigger_teleports (I dunno how I forgot them here. I did them on 1 or 2 other levels :s) and the red/green thing is a good idea too.

    As for the 'shoot the white' part,(not sure if this'll make sense, but I'll try) I couldn't figure out how to make it just barely powerful enough to shoot you over the block that prevents you from just strafing in without shooting the white, without seeming super powerful. :\

    Thanks for the review, though. I'll keep these in mind when/if I update (whenever I can find the time to get back into map-making.)

    Nice hard map.

    This map has some unique levels and it was obvious to me that you play trikz/bhop? Maybe not, it just seemed to me that some of the things in the map reminded me of a few trikz/bhop maps that I have played. I enjoyed the map though, although it did take me 54 minutes to complete the first time around :P.

    I did find a bug though on level 9 (which I have encountered in my own maps before), the funcmovelinear or functracktrain whatever you have used to make the elevator out off will become unsolid when moving if there is more than one player on it at the same time, causing them to fall through it. It happened on my elevator level that I used to have in mgpaulsmultigames, I never found a fix for it so had to remove it from my map. Another bug on stage 9 is that players can crouch under those 2 sliding blocks near the top of it and stop them (causing them to bug out and both be in sync making it impossible to beat).

    Also level 12 is really hard, it was the only level I had to cheat on (apart from the last bonus level, but I will get to that later on). It would be nice if you could maybe give us some kind of visible sign that the floor is about to change as trying to count in your head drives me insane. Maybe make it so the platform turns red or green with just enough time to jump before it goes invisible again. Also would it be possible for you to add in trigger_teleports to the insides of the toggling blocks, its annoying when you get stuck inside them.

    The last bonus level too, the 'shoot the white' is a little too powerful. Once I shoot it the force of the trigger_push is too powerful that I have no idea where I even end up. I found it easier to just strafe and bunny hop off the ledge (after breaking the wall) down to the surf ramp rather than shooting the white button on the wall.

    Other than level 9 and 12 I thought the map was pretty fun, although unsure if I am going to put the map on server rotation at the moment as the average player found it too hard unfortunately, but I am not complaining, I liked the challenge for once.

    Nice textures but all levels are too hard... Sorry, I'm sure you spent a lot of time on it but it's not fun and players RTV after 5 minutes ... Please make it just a little easier :/
